Is a flat tyre really that bad?
There are several reason's why driving or riding on a flat tyre is not only likely to cause damage to the wheel rim, but it can be an immediate safety risk.
1. You lose steering control, especially in cornering or emergency manoeuvres.
2. Stopping distance increases significantly
3. At higher speeds, a sudden flat can cause you to swerve violently or roll
What might have been a cheap puncture repair, escalates cost and safety quickly, whereas replacing and pumping a tyre or improving safe working pressure = alleviates the cost and safety risk.
What is the maximum PSI this pump can reach?
The NVR-Flat tyre inflator can pump up to 150 PSI.
This is significant, as the higher pressure capacity of the pump ensures it will handle a car, or even my mum's Nissan Patrol!
What's in the box?
Alongside the electric tyre pump you will get
- Schrader Valve attachment
- USB to USB-C charging cable
- Ball inflation needler
- Air hose
- Inflation cone / nozzle
Note: the user manual is available via website as per email supplied on purchase.
Is the pump heavy?
Not at all!
We've designed the pump with the young/mobile user in mind.
The pump weighs about 2x a iPhone 16, so less than 500grams!
How big is the pump?
With mobility and ease-of-use in mind, the pump is 12cm x 9cm with a depth of 4.8cm.
Thats a similar square size to an iPhone, but the depth of 4 of them together.
- This means it fits in the centre console, car glovebox or in a pocket in your childs school backpack.
Will it overheat?
How long can I use it before it needs a break?
The NVR-Flat inflator is built for short, powerful bursts - not long industrial sessions.
A normal bike, scooter, or ball inflation is no problem at all.
Typical continuous runtime: around 10 minutes before it needs a brief pause.
If pushed too long, the inflator will slow down or pause automatically to protect the motor.
You’ll notice you’re getting close to the limit if:
Just let it cool for a couple minutes and continue - it won’t burn out from normal use.
How does NVR-Flat compare to other portable pumps?
Most portable pumps do a decent job - but this is what NVR-Flat focuses on:
Where all pumps have limits:
Our goal is simple: real specs, real performance, no exaggeration.
Can it re-inflate after airing down for off-road driving?
A very, very important FAQ for us Queenslanders!
We've used our NVR-Flat pump several times on the beach and found we can do 2 4WD tyres at a time before a cool down period.
Just the same as a
What Actually Happens Past the Limit (Real Mechanics): What actually happens if a portable pump is pushed past its limits?
All small inflators work the same way mechanically.
If pushed too long, here’s what truly happens inside any pump:
No - portable pumps don’t “explode.”
They simply protect themselves by shutting off before anything dangerous occurs.
A short rest fixes almost everything.
How many tyres can it inflate on one charge?
The number of tires it can inflate on a single charge depends on several real-world factors, such as:
For Typical real-world usage.
Please note that results may vary as every rider’s situation is different.
Why does my pump slow down when the battery gets low?
At around 20–30% battery charge, the motor may reduce speed a little to protect itself.
It will still inflate safely — it just won’t be as fast as a full battery.
The inflator always prioritizes safe, stable airflow over raw speed.
How does the NVR-Flat prevent overheating?
The pump has Thermal Guard built in.
If the motor gets too warm during a long inflation:
• It will automatically pause
• Cool itself
• Then continue safely
This protects both you and the motor, and extends product life.
What setting gives the most power?
From lowest load → highest load:
1. Ball Mode
2. Bike Mode
3. Scooter/E-Bike Mode
4. Car Mode (most power, biggest air
volume)
What if my pump stops working?
We believe in our product and offer a "no questions asked" approach within 30 days of delivery date.
After 30days, we still warranty the product up to 12months for reasonable wear and tear as per our warranty policy page.

How long can it run before it needs a break?
The NVR-Flat is built for short, powerful bursts, not long industrial sessions.
Average continuous run time: 5–7 minutes, then a short pause.
Typical sequence for car tyres:
1. Inflate 2–3 minutes
2. Pump pauses
3. Cools
4. Automatically resumes if needed
Short breaks keep the motor healthy long-term.
What actually happens when a pump hits its limit?
All portable pumps (not just ours) behave the same way mechanically.
If pushed too far:
• Motor heat builds from continuous friction
• Internal safety sensors detect overheating
• Pump slows down
• If heat keeps rising, the pump pauses automatically
• In extreme misuse cases: internal plastic parts may warp from overheating
Important:
Pump motors do NOT explode — they shut off before anything dangerous happens.
A short rest clears almost everything.
How does the inflator work?
Just set your PSI, connect the hose, press start.
The pump will:
• Show your tyre’s current pressure
• Inflate smoothly
• Stop automatically at your exact PSI
Simple, safe, and beginner-friendly.
How long does one charge last for?
A full charge can inflate up to 8–10 bike tires or 2–3 car tires. Note that there are cooldown periods of 3 minutes after each use.
Typical inflation times are as follows:
- Bike tire: 1–2 minutes
- Car tire: 6–8 minutes
- Basketball: 20–30 seconds
Is it safe for children to use?
Yes - the pump is designed with the following safety features:
• Auto-stop function including overheating protection
• Burn protection with encasement in plastic
• User-friendly operation
• Lightweight design
• Easy-to-read display
Children and Teens can use it confidently without assistance.
The NVR-flat pump is registered with the Australian Electrical Equipment Safety System Register and is safety certified for use in many countries including Australia.
Is the pump suitable for Nighttime use
Yes, it is equipped with a built-in LED light to assist on dark roads or during emergencies.
Does it Overinflate?
It is possible to over-inflate your tyre if you have the incorrect PSI setting for your intended use.
Otherwise, the Auto-Stop system shuts off precisely when your selected PSI is reached, helping to prevent accidental over-inflation.
Most tyres have PSI recommendations on the side wall or check the vehicle user manual for PSI recommendations.
